Have a wonderful, restful, and happy Thanksgiving!  We start music for our Foreign Language Concert upon our return!  Be ready to work hard and learn some new languages! 

Details for our upcoming choir performance on:

 Monday, October 23rd for the 8^th grade class only.  

We will be performing at the Forest Hills Northern Jazz Festival 

at The FH Fine Arts Center on Forest Hills Ave.

We will meet at Crossroads in the cafeteria & have a pizza party around

5 PM before the rehearsal and concert.  We will eat, drink, and be merry!!!  If your child has NOT PAID FOR HIS/HER SHIRT – $14 - please send that money in ASAP along with their $3 pizza money!!  Cash is great or Checks made out to Northview Vocal Music!

I NEED CHAPERONES 

and I will cover your ticket price if you join!  We have 100 students so I need approximately 9 -10 parents to come with us! If you can come early to help with the dinner and clean up that would be great too! You can follow us in your car if you don’t want to ride the bus but I do need at least 5 to ride the bus – any takers????

I NEED DESSERTS/water bottles

 SENT IN FOR THE PIZZA PARTY – I will get pizza, plates & napkins – can you send some desserts and possibly water bottles in PLEASE?? 

Those can be sent in anytime on or before Monday! 

Again, we have approximately 100 students but only 

about 85 will be having dinner! Only … lol

We will go to the choir room about 5:40 

for warm-up and sing through our two choir songs.  

At 6:15 we will board the buses out front and 

be on our way to Forest Hills Fine Arts Center by 6:45 or so.  

The concert begins at 7PM and we are the 2nd act. If you would like to join us, tickets are $5.00 at the door or free if you can chaperone!!!    

Students are to wear their choir shirt and jeans or dark joggers, 

NO flip flops or sweat pants. They can wear tennis shoes, boots, clogs, etc… 

just no sandals with open toes.  

Jeans should be clean without any rips. 

          We will return somewhere around 9-9:30pm 

but I will have them call you as we leave the concert from the bus 

so that YOU don’t have to wait or so YOU won’t be late.  It will be a super fun experience as we are only 1 of 2 middle school choirs performing!  

All the rest of the groups are HS or College level choirs. 

          This is a required performance 

 please be sure to get your child to Crossroads at least by 5:45 

unless they will be joining us for dinner at 5pm.  

Again, please be prepared to pick up your child that evening around 9pm 

in Crossroads parking lot.

I know that I sure did! 

However, it is time to get back to work!

It needs to be read through by BOTH you and your singer, 

signed by BOTH of you, 

then sent back to me for their first choir grade!

NOTE: CRAIG'S CRUISERS TODAY!  Please please be at Crossroads to pick up your kiddo after CC - promptly at 3pm! So excited!  We will have so much fun!!

Well, can you believe it?  We made it and we made it GREAT!  Through all the tears (mine mostly), laughter, beautiful music, and achievements, we are done!  I want to thank you so much for sharing your singer with me, helping out others with money donations, chaperoning, sending in desserts, all the lovely gifts and cards to me (totally unnecessary but so appreciated) through the year, and all the heartfelt emails!  I don't know if it is because I am getting older (yuck) or what, but I am overwhelmed with gratitude and happiness for the year we just finished! 

I wish you all a wonderful, restful, relaxing summer vacation.  Accept every moment - the good and the bad - as we learn from every experience something that will benefit us.  Remember, the days and weeks are long but the years FLY BY!  So take it all in!!

I wish my 8th graders so much success in the high school (please stay in choir!!). Always do your personal best, be kind & compassionate, and just take advantage of every opportunity to LOVE EVERYONE!  Don't forget me when you graduate!!  I want to be there to celebrate YOU! 

I wish my 7th graders to stay as sweet as you are now!  Keep singing and listen to GREAT SINGERS!  That's the key to being a great singer!  Head to Cheers from time to time and sing karaoke - prepare you for next year!!!

I wish my wonderful supportive parents happiness beyond measure!

CRAIG'S CRUISERS -

Hey all!  I hope your Memorial LONG weekend was wonderful.  I am emailing because TODAY was the due date for money for CRAIG'S CRUISERS and I only have 21 people signed up that have actually paid.  If we don't get at least 100 - the price will be $2 more! So... I need your money for CRAIG'S CRUISERS if your kiddo wants to join us by:

If your singer WANTS TO JOIN US, please send in the money tomorrow!!!!!

If your singer WANTS TO JOIN US and is going on the EAST COAST TRIP - I still need your money TOMORROW so please drop it off today and leave in the office in an envelope, with my name on it, your kiddos name on it, and CRAIG'S CRUISERS on it!

WEDNESDAY/17th:  ALL 8TH GRADE CHOIR MEMBER rehearsal.

THURSDAY/18th: ALL 7TH GRADE CHOIR

TUESDAY/MAY 23: PAC FOR ALL CHOIR MEMBERS after advisory check-in.  Students will report back to class for 5th hour - 11am

POP CONCERT IS TUESDAY MAY 23 AT 7:30PM - 

please come on out and support the arts!
